Aluminum

Overview
We are driving innovation in lightweight, sustainable materials with our aluminum business unit. From mining bauxite in Al Ba’itha to smelting and rolling aluminum at our state-of-the-art facility in Ras Al Khair, we produce over 1 million tons per annum of premium-grade aluminum. This metal plays a critical role in the development of Saudi Arabia’s automotive, aerospace, and renewable energy sectors, with growing applications in electric vehicles (EVs) and advanced manufacturing.
In line with our growth strategy, We have signed a Heads of Terms with Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), one of the world’s largest aluminum smelters, to explore the formation of a global aluminum leader. This partnership would combine over 75 years of operational excellence, creating a powerhouse in aluminum production with the capacity to compete on a global scale. Our aluminum operations are seamlessly connected from beginning to end, ensuring quality and sustainability from mine to market, positioning us as a key contributor to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Aluminum and the energy transition
Aluminum has a critical role to play in the energy transition. The white metal’s strength and light weight make it the essential material for the construction of renewable energy infrastructure such as solar panels, wind turbines, power transmission systems, and the manufacturing of electric vehicles and other high-tech products.

Aluminium Executive Summary
Aluminum represents our evolution, with its lightweight, durable, and recyclable properties driving industrial growth. Our $10.8 billion aluminum complex, a joint venture with Alcoa, is the world’s largest vertically integrated aluminum production facility in Ras Al Khair, supplying global and regional markets.
We have a significant market presence by exporting to 22 countries across 5 continents. We extended our reach into previously untapped territories last year, but put our greatest emphasis on our established partners, ensuring our sales, quality, and long-established reliability were optimized and without compromise.
Automotive Industry
The automotive industry is a core element of our aluminum operations. This includes the renewal of our contract with luxury car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, which we have supplied since 2016, exporting more than 100,000 tons of high-quality aluminum sheets to date. Over the long term, our aluminum may play an even greater role in the auto industry, acting as a crucial component in electric vehicle production.

Sustainable partnerships
We signed a landmark contract with Dammam based Almajdouie Logistics to take on the Kingdom’s first hydrogen-powered heavy goods vehicle.
Our long-standing industry friends Aluminium Bahrain, we pledged to collaborate on raising ESG standards within the entire value chain of aluminium production, from upstream operations to delivery.
