Phosphates

Overview
Maaden's Phosphates business unit plays a pivotal role in the global agricultural sector, producing essential fertilizers that support sustainable food production.
We operate one of the world's largest integrated phosphate facilities, mining phosphate rock from open- pit operations in the northern region of Saudi Arabia. The mined rock is then processed into high-grade fertilizers at our beneficiation and refining plants in Wa’ad Al Shamal and Ras Al Khair, with an annual production capacity of 6 million tonnes. We are expanding this operation with the Phosphate 3 project that will ultimately increase production capacity to 9 million tonnes per annum.
Our phosphate-based products, including diammonium phosphate (DAP) and monoammonium phosphate (MAP), are critical for improving soil fertility and boosting crop yields, helping to meet the increasing demand for food across the globe. We supply 20 per cent of the global market of phosphate based fertilizers
