Our joint venture with Mosaic Company and SABIC to develop the $8 billion Wa’ad Al Shamal Fertilizer Complex has driven Saudi Arabia’s growth in the global phosphate market. The partnership has played a critical role in expanding fertilizer production, supporting sustainable agriculture and contributing to global food security. In 2024, Maaden concluded its purchase of Mosaic’s stake in in Ma'aden Wa'ad Al Shamal Phosphate Company(MWSPC) as it prepares for a new phase of growth.

Our partnership with Alcoa created a fully integrated high-efficiency aluminum production complex at Ras Al Khair, with a a $10.8 billion investment that reshaped Saudi Arabia’s industrial landscape. Our partnership with Barrick Gold at the Jabal Sayid underground copper mine combines global mining expertise with local insight, advancing gold exploration and production in Saudi Arabia. Barrick’s world-class technical and operational capabilities has made significant contributions to the Kingdom’s mining sector, strengthening our ability to uncover and develop valuable resources.
